This brand new symphony orchestra is the brain-child of professional conductor, John Anderson, who needs no introduction to Ilkley audiences.

The hand-picked musicians, many of whom have worked with John over many years have been invited to play in the orchestra to ensure an excellent standard is maintained. Music Is not just our hobby – it is our real passion I We thoroughly enjoy playing and presenting great music for our audiences.

We are one of the few community orchestras in the country to have a professional leader, Sally Robinson, who Is able to coach the string sections and offer expert advice on stylistic Interpretation, phrasing and bowings.
